What’s Happening?
New Zealand’s mobile operators have now shutdown down their 3G networks across New Zealand.
Any 3G reliant devices will no longer work, including for 111 calling.
This is part of a global upgrade to 4G and 5G technology, to deliver a more reliable experience for consumers and future-proof connectivity.
CHECK YOUR DEVICE
Any devices that still rely on 3G technology will no longer work now that 3G networks have been shutdown across New Zealand.
This includes for emergency 111 calling, so it is important to check your phone and other devices now to ensure you stay connected into the future.
